Our old friend Friday is here again to usher us into another weekend. This week has been busy at the firm and in the midst of all the excitement I could feel myself catching a mild case of writer’s block. As a small measure of preventative care, I decided to walk to the courthouse (instead of driving) in the hopes that something worthy would come to mind. No such luck. I did however, notice a nice nip in the air and it was then that I began thinking how nice it is now that Summer is over. Of course, being the walking encyclopedia of useless information that I am, I then reminded myself that Summer is not over yet. The last day of Summer, or so I thought, is on September 21st every year. As Carlen will attest, when I get an idea in my head, I get pretty confident that I am right. But that really only happens once I have professed something as fact. In this instance, the thought was still rattling around in the vast recesses of my subconscious nowhere near my mouth and so I decided to double check. That is when the fun began.
